Coming up with your own modification or design gives your home a unique feel that can't be copied by anyone else since your own taste and preference are what shaped your design, and will be yours and yours alone. Add nailhead trim. Add contrast piping or welts. Add a skirt to a sofa if there is no skirt. Remove the skirt if you don't want it. Change the feet. Make the arm higher or lower. Make the arm wider. About Victoria Richter

San Francisco-born and bred, Victoria Richter’s love of design began as a child and blossomed into adulthood with a successful career in fashion. Taking what she calls “a leap of faith,” she applied her keen eye for style to interiors after being approached to run a furniture company. She worked alongside the industry’s top designers, honing her skills and curating one of the most renowned studios in San Francisco’s Merchandise Mart. It was there that she met Braden Richter, a well-known furniture designer, and the two married shortly thereafter. They later moved to Los Angeles, where she opened Jaxon in 2006.

Victoria’s Jaxon showroom is a celebration of her distinctive west coast style – practical and modern with a commitment to sustainability and green materials. As a mother of three, she needs furniture that is solidly built and made to withstand play dates and sleepovers, but can still impress during dinner parties and family gatherings. In addition to loving furniture that is easy on the eyes, she values furniture that is easy on the planet, which is why Jaxon partners with Urban Woods, a leading designer of sustainable furniture crafted from reclaimed and eco-friendly materials.

That’s why we try to use reclaimed woods, non-toxic stains, recycled upholstery fills, and made-in-California materials for cores, casings, and webbings whenever possible.
