We put the Jaxon MINI line to the test last week at our launch event with MomAngeles! Over 40 moms RSVP'd and many brought their children along and took advantage of the babysitting services on-site, provided by Urban Sitter.
Victoria sat with the kids for a bit to work on some Valentine's crafts that we prepared for all of the children at the event to enjoy.
And then this week, we were off to KCAL to share the Valentine's craft with the anchors of CBS Los Angeles, an intimidating but exhilarating experience to say the least.
You can stream Victoria's spot with KCAL here. We all had a laugh about how it went down. She prepared and practiced for a three minute segment that when it came down to the wire got squeezed down into just one minute. TV is crazy pressure, but we admit that it was pretty cool to see behind the scenes on set of a daytime news program. Those ladies were rockin' the news. What a job.
As Victoria was leaving, she got pulled aside by a producer, telling her that she had received 3 calls inquiring about her bracelet... a score that she picked up from one of the sample sales at the MomAngeles event, from Stella & Dot. We all got sucked into Stella & Dot!
We're so excited to be riding the wave of the Jaxon MINI launch in the press, and are grateful to see every blog mention pop across our google notifications! Thanks for all the support!

Tips for Sofa Placment in Your Home January 15 2015

It might be easy to tell when it’s time for a new sofa, but what about when it’s just time to refresh your room? Here are fewsofa scenarios to consider to give your living room layout new life!
A Table between the Sofa and the Wall
Something in our DNA tells us to place the furniture up against the wall and we love to help our clients break free from that mold. But sometimes it is done out of necessity. This usually happens in the case of a narrow room. If that sounds like your room, break out your measuring tape, and see if you can pull off this sweet trick to toss a little unexpected flair in your space.
Facing Each Other
Bunny Williams nails it in the above photo. This layout is perfect for your home if you are prone to host. Two matching or similar sofas usually look best in this arrangement. Just imagine all the deep conversations your guests can be having while comfortably seated face to face with nothing but the perfect cocktail, errr, coffee table between them…
Floating
A sofa in the middle of the room makes a strong statement and can really do a lot for a room. It’s perfect for strong shapes that look great from all angles. You’ll want to make sure the room is large enough to accommodate this bold layout. Typical furniture plans allow 3.5′ to 10′ to comfortably pass between pieces. A floating couch can really feel luxurious when facing the focal point of the room and flanked on either side by some complimentary chairs.
Back to Back
Okay, so you are going to need a rather large space for this layout, but if you can rock it, by all means – you must, and god grant you the ability to do it with the grace that Windsor Smith does. Not only does it create two separate areas but the play on symmetry is really easy on the eyes.
Lastly, here is some advice from a pro. Now go get your sofa off that wall.

For some, the standard issue down comforter, Star Wars and Bob Marley posters and Dad’s old recliners are being traded in for something a little more sophisticated.
We agree, our Robinson Leather Chair eases the transition! Check it out below.
